I have been so busy with kittens that this weeks project is a small one...but I am really loving using water slide decals so I see many more projects like this in my future!
I found this bottle at Goodwill. It held some sort of liquor. I thought it was pretty and I liked the top.
First I soaked the labels off the bottle and put it thru the dishwasher.
I then followed directions as found on the Polka dot closet blog. to do a water slide decal. The first time I used them I had issues but now I'm an old pro.:) Make sure you follow her directions and don't skip anything. First I sprayed the decal with the Krylon spray that is recommended. I let that dry. Then I cut around the decal and let it soak in water until the backing seem to loosen.
I carefully put the decal in place..being careful not to touch the back of it and rub the ink off. I slowly pulled out the backing--sliding the paper off from underneath. Then I let it dry.
I smoothed it out to make sure there was no bubbles.. Then I added a decoration of ribbon, a crown pin I had that I got from Melissa Frances, and a little flower. So pretty.
I got some milk bath at Dollar Tree and ended up with this beautiful bottle for the bathroom! Janae commented that it would make a nice gift. I wish I could find white milk bath--because I think it would show the decal better.
I can just imagine all the projects I can do with these water slide decals! I think next I will do a serving tray:)
Well, I'll end this post with yet another kitten picture. they are kind of running my life right now.:)
Thanks for visiting!

Hi Sandy,
Don't you just love those waterslide projects? Your bottle is very pretty and yes, white milk bath would be just perfect.
Those kittens are so precious....itty bitty little toes, itty bitty little nose....and soft, soft downy fur. You must be exhausted but who could be more comforting to teeny kittens than a biped mom?
you just HAD to put the kitty in there didn't you LOL, I'm loving them, I love kitties so much. Those bottle are gorgeous. I'd love to make some but I have no more space for anything unless I'm using it. I still didn't quite get the instructions....just in case I want to do something with the bottles I have here LOL
Hi Sandy,
Oooh, this is a lovely bottle. I love putting those water slide decals on glass and wood. They give the object the perfect embellishment. Love the crown bling too.
Little kitten is so sweet. Ahhhhhhhh!

I love your project! I have not heard of these labels. I'd love to know more about them. Where do you buy them? I'd really like to have some! Thanks for sharing!
Oh look at that kitten...soooo cute. I love the bottle, crazy I just found a bottle with a glass topper at the thrift store today! Ok, burning fingers and flowers. I never burn my fingers, I think you are holding the fabric to close to the flame? I hold way back on the fabric when I put them over the candle and when I am doing a really small piece of fabric I hold it with kitchen tongs. Gosh I hope that helps..No one likes blisters!

The bottle is just beautiful. I love that crown pin...so pretty! You are getting good at those water slide decals, huh?
I've enjoyed reading about your kitten babies. They're so cute! I think the black one with white feet is my fav too :)
Your bottle is fantastic....I love the black and white kitty. I once had a tiny kitty...she was all black and we named her Felicia. I sure miss that sweet kitty. You are so fortunate to have such little ones to fall in love with!
Just beautiful..Love it..xx
Oooh I love it with the pink milk bath in it! Never to much pink :)
Very beautiful.

Your bottle is very pretty!! The baby in front of the bottle is just precious!!
This is really beautiful Sandy. I can see I need to come to your GW because I've never seen any of the neat things that you always find at any of ours. A couple of questions. Where did you get the decal? And the crown you said from Melissa Francis? Was that at a scrapbook or craft store? Or did you have to send away for those things? I haven't seen any like that and would love to get my hands on one. Really lovely. Your sweet fur baby looks like (s)he is thriving. So cute. I just love kittens too. Let me know because I love all your projects! How you have time to do all you do and a blog too, just blows me away! You are amazing girl!
