Feels like Spring

We have been having some pretty beautiful weather lately. Some of my blogging friends are still having snow and others are having to shelter their potted plants from the sun. I love Oregon...not often too hot or too cold. The temperatures being in the 60's I have started planting my potted plants. I always enjoy planting the first potted flowers of the season!

I always enjoy fixing up the front deck to look cute. I love flowers!

The Daphne smells just amazing! It greets everyone coming to the front door. It is Janae's favorite scent.

Flowers are blooming in the yard... which makes for pretty bouquets in the house!

Today we celebrated Daisy's 7th birthday! She is such a sweet dog...protector of Gage and companion to us all. Seems like yesterday she was just a pup. I was remembering her puppy days while looking through her baby book.

But both her and the kids have grown up. Happy 7th birthday sweet Daisy!

I am happy about another thing about this time of year...I am officially declaring it flip flop season!

My husband considers himself lucky that I am a woman that doesn't like shoes. I have no desire to spend money on shoes--would so much rather buy paint :) I worked for a podiatrist for years and I know you should wear supportive shoes and all that...but I love flip flops. Now that I have declared it I will wear flip flops even if it snows. My kids think I am weird...maybe I am :)

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

Your garden is looking so good. Yours always inspires me to plant flowers, although I do not have such a green thumb as you do! I can't believe Daisy is 7 already either! Happy birthday Daisy!

This post is beautiful...enjoyed it so much! Janae is right, you have an amazing green thumb. I was going to bring a box of treats for Daisy's birthday, but forgot. I"ll bring it next time we walk. I love how she cares so much for Gage.

Those daffodils look beautiful, Sandy! I always think it is officially Spring when I see the first daffodils. I wish I could get some flowers for outside. We had a beautiful day yesterday and the day before, but today it is back to being cold with rain/snow showers in the forecast. I am really looking forward to it getting out of the 20's, 30's, and 40's!

Sweet Post, and I love your porch! Pansies wilt here I dont get to see them much anymore. I worked for one of the most brilliant Florists in New York and she wore flip flops in Winter, yes she did, saw it with my own eyes lol. Yep, paint over shoes anytime. :D

This makes me so ready for better weather! Its still awful up here in Boston. In the 20s today....yesterday I bought two spring wreaths, but they will look completely ridiculous on my doors right now. So I will wait and enjoy your beautiful pics instead. Flipflops?? I can dream about that too!
