A new magazine!

I love magazines. One of my favorite luxuries is to cuddle up with a glass of wine and a really good decorating magazine. I found a new magazine today at Walmart  that I just adore! Problem is there is not $9.95 in my budget at this time in my life for a magazine. Bummer. So much to the embarrassment of Chantel, I soaked in the beautiful pages while standing in the magazine aisle.

I swooned over all the beautiful articles...

I looked online and couldn't find anything about if this magazine is going to sell subscriptions. Does anyone know their website? I couldn't find it. Janae said her and I could share a subscription, that would make it so much more affordable!

They fed into my love and obsession of Blue canning jars...

I am hoping my Mom finds Janae and I all kinds of Mason jars at garage sales this summer!

Just wanted to share this beautiful new magazine..for those of you that are magazine lovers like myself. Are there any bloggers I know in the magazine?

Thanks for visiting!

My daughter & husband moved into a new house right before Christmas. At the register at WalMart one trip I saw a magazine for small space decorating and tossed it on the belt thinking it would make a great stocking stuffer. Imagine my surprise at that price too!

Lovely looking magazine,I get a magazine that I need to cancel because I have found some great magazines on line and with less of the advertising having said that I also find them interesting.

Hi Sandy,
It is a shame that the prices of the printed word have soared so high. While I love blog hopping and reading downloaded magazines for inspiration, I am with you, sometimes I just want to put my feet up with a cuppa or glassa and turn a few pages.
hugs $ JOY,
Kimberly

ps. We aren't doing a proper job unless we embarrass our kids from time to time.

Decorating magazines are my weakness... you just can't have enough inspiration! I'll be watching for this one!

I saw this magazine last week at our local grocery store, and I too was going to purchase it, until I saw the price..what? So I just quickly scanned thru it, then put it back :( Being that it is a new magazine, there probably won't be a subscription for it for awhile ~ Romantic Country was originally only sold in stores, until a couple of years or so ago, which by the way, is the only mag that I have a subscription to...it's my favorite! I too love the aqua mason jars ~ I have quite a few displayed in my home.

Have a great upcoming weekend! Tomorrow I get to watch my grandson for a little bit in the morning! Can't wait :) He is just sooo much fun!

Warmest hugs, Brenda

I think you and I were thinking the same thing. Yesterday I did the same, checked out all the new magazines, scanned through most and put them all back, except the new Country living home magazine that I know will fly off the shelves and be hard to find again. I have found that I only find a few pages that interest me and why pay that much when I can look on the internet and find them and more to interest me.

Oh honey, magazine??? You are talking my language! I love them, too -- I've got decorating magazines dating back to the 1980s, believe it or not.

And sometimes I pull them out and still look at them, and I'm often amazed at how the really well done rooms hold up -- they would be just as lovely today as when they were decorated 30 years ago.

Thanks for visiting That Old House ... and if you find a website or subscription for that magazine, let us know. :-)

Best wishes, Cass

I live in Canada and I paid $12.95 for a copy. Sorry, I can't find a website either. They are published by Harris Publications New York,NY.
Try Googling it. Good luck. BTW - I think your Blog is better than this magazine any day. Honestly!

Oh wow that looks right up our alley, I am going to look for it. I can't believe how expensive magazines have gotten! I always look for old copies in antique stores. Often times they sell them for a couple dollars

This is spooky. I was at Walmart today and saw that same magazine! I started to buy it and then did a double take on the price. I would have definitely bought it for $7.50 or under, but it was too close to $10 for me. You would think they would have had a less expensive first issue. Gorgeous photos in the magazine though.

Hi Sandy!

I havent bought a magazing for a long time. However I do have a subscription to Better Homes and Gardens and Country Living. I also get their emails and look at there website every day.

Now for my mini RANT of the day:
I would have just taken that magazing to the checkout LINE... and read the whole thing! Then set it aside at the checkout area. At my WalMart the line is always so long. We seldom have more then 4-6 checkstands open... and that includes the 20 items or less ones. I have stood there for over 30+ minutes before! Last time I told that poor cashier that I know it is not her fault... BUT they (management) are only encouraging people to pick up just a few items... I certainly down want the ice melting. Not that I allow myself that pleasure very often :/

I noticed that you did have some pretty pictures from that magazine... what would we do with out our smart phones :0)
