Pillow Talk

As I mentioned before, I wanted to change out my "store bought" pillows for some homemade ones for the top of my husbands trunk in the sunroom. I made the first pillow last night and am so pleased with it I have to share. I need to give credit where credit is due though! I was inspired by a blogger I recently found..I actually was more than inspired..I pretty much just copied her:). I even copied her title for this post (shameless). But hopefully it is okay with her. You can find her here.  I think I will copy even more of her pillows..she is very talented and creative!

Isn't that a great pillow?!  I'm sure you can see why I was excited when I found this idea. You can't get much more Shabby Chic than burlap and roses!

I always think that I have not mastered the torn fabric rosettes but then when I get them on there I am always pleased with them. They really have the shape of real roses!

Next I think I will make a pillow that looks like the valance--a pretty ruffled one.

Thanks for stopping by for a little "pillow talk" :)

Have a great day!

Sandy....Love love love the pillow. And isn't getting ideas all about this blog thing. I would hope people would want to use my recipes and get ideas for presentation etc. etc. My mother always said that duplication is the highest form of flattery. And I agree. Also where did you get your white headboard. I have been looking for years for one like that accept in king size. I absolutely adore it.

Thanks too for commenting on my recent dessert post. I truly appreciate it. And the dessert really is incredible. Hope you can try it.

Hugs,

Nann

That is adorable. Wish you'd drop by my house and make me a couple of them. Well, at least I tried.

Wow. I love that trunk! The pillow is pretty too, but I am stuck on that trunk. I made some flowers out of felt a few weeks ago, but I've been meaning to try the torn fabric method. I think they look more realistic.
