Weekend Stuff

This has been another enjoyable weekend. I love the weekends. I love being able to sleep in, I love having the kids at home with me.

One project I wanted to share if this stool I painted for my Mother. It used to be her Mother's.

I did the lace technique that I like so much. Mom likes it too I guess because she asked me to do it for her. It started out looking like this..

It is much prettier now:) Mom really likes it and my Dad called to tell me this morning that he really likes it too.

This weekend I got a lot done in the yard! But even though I get so much done there is so much more to do! If the weather cooperates I may be able to catch up!

I planted some Glads. I have more to plant. Aren't these pretty colors? I can't wait to be able to cut these for the house!
More and more blooms in the garden everyday!

I have to share these pictures of Chantel on the trampoline...I played with these on PicMonkey. She is such a crazy kid:)

I wish I could borrow some of her energy!

And last but not least..our walk to Sonic tonight. The kids, the dogs and I all walked to Sonic and got ice cream cones and snacks. I think it is about a 3 mile trip probably.

Janae bought a hamburger for the dogs to share..Bella liked it the best

Sonic has something for everyone!
Chantel thinks I take too many pictures!
When we got home the dogs were pretty tuckered out...I guess it is really a long walk for their little legs!

I hope everyone had a good weekend. Thanks for visiting!

I love that stool. Please tell me how you did it. Spray paint over lace? I've been wanting to try "lace painting" for a while now. Yours turned how SO good!

Your family pics are so good. Esp. the trampoline ones. She didn't mind the camera then, huh? Haha.

Have a good week,
Shasta

I love the stool, I will have to do that again soon. You had the perfect lace, It really is the key, last time I did it I did not like the pattern...Not a good lace. What a fun evening, dogs, kids, and ice cream...It doesn't get any better!

You are a talented daughter...I love how the stool turned out. Your grandmother would have thought it beautiful, too.

Chantel is quite an athlete! Jumping on the trampoline is not as easy as she makes it look. Of course, the grandmother in me wants to urge her to be careful. :-)

Love the photos of your walk to get icecream...even Gage got to go. It was a beautiful day.

I love what you did with the stool. I planted some glads 4 years ago and each year all I've ever been able to get is a bunch of green leaves. Do you have any advice for me?

Hi Sandy,
Hope you plant some flowering almond! It is a delight. Please tell Chantel that you can't take enough photo's to last a lifetime. When she is MUCH older she will be so happy you did! I wish I had a lot of pics when I was her age. I love all her shots and my favorite is of her with her fingers to her lips..I love that! She's so pretty and yes, active! oh yes, beautiful tulips..
enjoy,
Shirley

Your little stool is adorable! It's always nice for a mother to spend quality time with her children. Chantel is very good on the trampoline. I also wish I had her energy!

The dogs sleeping are adorable. I know we ride the UTV all over our ranch and our collie won't get in, bur insists on running. By the end of the day, we have been riding several miles and she has put in a good day of running and is totally tuckered out. I know I prefer to walk the ranch, but with my sprained ankle, I have been hobbling way too slowly.

The little stool is so sweet! It looks so pretty with the lace pattern. I sure need to spend some time in my yard, would love to plant some glads!

Sandy this is just one of the cutest posts I've seen. First I LOVE the stool. And you think only Chantel has energy. Well she must get it from you. You blow me away with all that you get done. I wish I had YOUR energy:) Your plantings will be gorgeous. And your walk to Sonic looks like you all had such a fun time. These pictures of the dogs just warmed my heart. I bet they really were tuckered out with a hike like that. They deserved that hamburger! Now that you've planted your yard, could you come do mine:) I get tired thinking just about it (big smile).

Oh how exciting...Your garden will be full of beautiful flowers soon. There is just nothing more beautiful to me than a colorful garden full of beautiful blooms. I need to tend to my garden soon too. It is looking kinda scary. It has been raining a lot lately so I haven't had the chance. Hopefully soon. Anyway, sounds like you all had a wonderful weekend. Oh and just looked at the pictures of your daugther and her boyfriend...Too Sweet. They look adorable together.

Hugs and Kisses,
