Painting Therapy

Once again I am not keeping up with my blog and I want too! I thought I would do a post today and show what I have been busy doing. Painting makes me happy--it relaxes me and makes me feel like I am getting something accomplished! Cleaning the house and cooking dinner (though necessary) doesn't do much for my sense of accomplishment!

I find it good for my spirit to take what is old and ready to be thrown away and make it into something beautiful. One of my favorite makeovers was this old dresser a friend told me was on it's way to the dump.

I went and got it and within a day I had it looking like this...

Isn't it so pretty now?!

I just adore painted furniture.

The more I paint I feel like it is an education. I feel confident to paint about anything at this point. I don't want to sound like a commercial, but the Annie Sloan paint is what makes it possible.

You can see what keeps me busy on the creative side.  My mind is constantly on Janae's wedding right now--only 80 something days left and so much to do! So many things to paint for the wedding too!

Gage has been doing well...

Jaxon continues to entertain us all and we are so happy to get to spend a lot of time with him!

I hope this finds everyone enjoying life. There are so many things to be thankful for. There is a new furbaby in our house and I will post about her soon.

Thanks for visiting!

I adore that last pic, and wish I could spend a day lounging on that.I need something to lounge on in my own yard....can you imagine? doing all the work I do back there and not having someplace to lounge! Inconceivable! lolol.
