For the love of pretty...

Sometimes I wonder if I choose the right name for my blog. I do love white. I really do...and as I am adding color I am realizing I will always want to have a lot of white. It is clean, it is pure, it makes things look uncluttered. But what I really love is pretty. Pretty things make me happy!

Today it was really cloudy. I loved it! Wyatt and I walked to Walmart and I was extra happy. I am tired of the sun, and tired of the heat and humidity. One thing I am really going to miss is my flowers. My flowers are so pretty. I still have a few keeping things looking pretty around here.

I guess you can probably tell what my favorite color for flowers is.
Pink is so pretty.

So when at the grocery store last night with Chantel and Janae I found these daffodil bulbs...

Then today when Wyatt and I took our walk to Walmart I found these...

I am thinking I am going to be glad next spring that I planted these!

Yesterday Chantel walked down the street to a garage sale. She found this sweet handmade lace toddler dress. She bought it for me because she knew I would love it. I used to dress Janae and Chantel in dresses like this. I thought of using it to make a lampshade cover or something..but I think I might just save it for a future Granddaughter.

Oh, so pretty, so precious. How sweet of Chantel to think of me.

I am such a girly girl!

I hope everyone has a great week. Thanks for visiting!

Sandy, your flowers are still gorgeous. The heat has taken mine long ago. It's a delight coming to your blog and seeing all the lovely items! I have pink Daffodils, but not white! You have given me a great idea! The tulips are gorgeous, but our squirrels dig them up, no matter what I do. I'll have to enjoy yours next year! I love the dress! I can see your granddaughter in it! Whatever you decide it will be lovely!

You are going to love those Angelique tulips. I planted some 10 years ago and they were so gorgeous. They look like small peonies and I got so many compliments on them. I'll have to find some to plant again. You've inspired me. J

Could live happily without that heat and humidity too!!! Your flowers are just so pretty!!! Love that little dress!!! I dressed my daughter in girly girl dresses too!! Remember Martha Miniature, they had the little heart shaped button, and lots of lace and ruffles? Dressing her up was so much fun!!!

Good morning Sandy! Thanks for such a nice comment on my blog! Your flowers are amazing and so healthy! We had such a hot and dry summer that my flowers just wilted away no matter what I did to them. I'm so in love with that white dress! Wishing you a wonderful week.

I am hoping to get some Tulip bulbs planted soon for some new pretty blooms come next spring ~ I'll have to look out for those Angelique Tulips, they look gorgeous!! And I LOVE that dress Chantel found for you!! I too use to dress my daughter in frilly dresses and bows in her hair.

My flowers have all but given up in this heat! I love the cloudy days as well, and add in rain, I'm a happy girl! I saw those tulips online but I'm sure they are cheaper at Walmart, I will have to go and check them out. I want them for sure!

I love the name of your blog... and as we know it doesn't have to be so literal. I quickly made up the name of my blog over 6 years ago when I started it. I never thought I'd really take it too seriously. So I wish sometimes that I would have come up with something better but it seems to work so I'm okay with it. Thanks for sharing all the pretty pictures.
Hugs,
Holly
