Pink Roses and Grandpa

I so love pink roses...and I am missing my 3 prolific pink rose bushes this time of year. On my budget I do not usually buy grocery store flowers, as pretty as they can be. But the other day I saw these 5 roses for $5 and I couldn't help myself.

They are so pretty and are satisfied my yearning...for now.

They make me happy! Today we had such beautiful weather it made me excited to think how soon spring will be here. I even bought a couple flowers for my pots. My potted flowers on the front porch always make me smile.

On Saturday afternoon our Grandpa passed away. It was his time, but it is hard to think I will never see his smiling face in this world again.

He was a wonderful man...and always fun to be with. My kids were very close to their Great Grandpa as he only lived a few blocks away from us. So this is hard on all of us. He was suffering at the end of his life, and we are happy he is now resting in paradise.

The night Grandpa passed we had such a beautiful sunset...

I am sure it is even more beautiful where Grandpa is :)

I hope this finds everyone enjoying whatever season you are experiencing right now...

Thanks for visiting!

I am so sorry Sandy...but I do agree, he is much better off than any of us. It never helps missing them though and hearing their voice. I'm glad you bought yourself some roses, a little pick me up does wonders for our soul. I can't wait until spring and all of my beautiful flowers to bloom...and to plant more!

Ohhh, those gorgeous pink roses look so pretty in your house with your decor. But i have to say, YOUR roses are the absolute best, i can't wait to see them again on the blog. There is one i just love, and now i can't remember the name of it! Anyway, so sorry about your grandpa passing. It's such a mixed feeling when someone suffers at the end of their life. You don't want them to suffer, and you don't want to lose them ... it's hard.

I am sorry for your loss. But, how fortunate that your children got to spend so much time with their great grandfather.

Your roses look so pretty sitting on the chair.

One of my favorite scriptures is 'Peace, be still, and know that I am God.' Roses are so soft and sweet in their beauty. What a wonderful Dad your father was!

That's very special that your kids were so close to their great grandpa. That's rare these days, to not only live close by but to actually have a good relationship. I am very sorry for your family's deep loss:(.

Pink roses are my absolute favorite flower of all time, so I would've bought that $5 bouquet in a heartbeat!:lol I'm very much ready for spring myself!

Sandy,I am so very sorry for your loss. Even though he is no longer in pain, it is hard to loss someone you love. When my mom passed I was glad to know she is in a perfect body. But it's hard to know I will never get to speak with her again. Well, not in this place. I know one day I will get to see her again and we will rejoice in our heavenly bodies together.
I think you found such an awesome deal on those roses because God wants your spirits lifted in this time. They are beautiful. Take care.
