So many projects and procrastination

I have so many projects all ready for me to do them, and some of them I just procrastinate on. I think I do this because I want to do a really good job and I worry it won't turn out the way I want it too. I should do like Nike says, "Just do it".

My Mom found this foot stool at a garage sale for $3.

I like the needlepoint but it just didn't fit in with my house. So I fixed it.

When Wyatt saw it after school today he said, "Oh that looks so nice Mom, so much more you". I agree! I left the needlepoint underneath just in case someday somebody wants to expose it. The fabric was a gift from Janae. She bought it for me for Mothers day like 2 years ago! (see what I mean about procrastination!) and they sent this fabric which wasn't exactly the color she ordered. Later they sent the right color and let us keep both pieces!

I thought the darker would look good on the footstool and I have a chair I want to do in the blue on blue. I love the burnout velvet...so gorgeous!

So here is the chair I want to cover with this gorgeous fabric. Of course, the chair will be white too. If anyone wants to give me some pointers on recovering this they would be appreciated. I have never recovered anything beyond simple chair pads. Wish me luck!

The kids have started school now. None of them are happy about it. Chantel is in high school! The thought of that still freaks me out a bit. I can't believe how fast they grow. I talked Chantel into letting me take her picture today--I am loving the school clothes she picked this year. They match our house! Most everything she bought is lace--I just love it.

My other beautiful girl is doing well...

Sophia is totally part of the family now! So glad we adopted her. I adore her.

Thanks for visiting!

Hi Sandy! The footstool looks just beautiful! I love that fabric, in both colors! The chair is going to be so beautiful too, cant wait to see it.
Chantel is gorgoeus! Wow, what beautiful hair. And I love the outfit too. Cant go wrong with aqua and white lace :) We both have a freshman this year! Sooo nerve wrecking, lol. I hope your kids all got teachers they like and are doing well. It is so hard to get back into that routine!
Your kitty cat is so pretty, I just want to squeeze her :) You and Janae must have the happiest fur babies in the world :)
Big hugs,
Amy

Sandy, everything you do is perfect! I love the footstool. I have never recovered a chair like that, but I do know I would keep the old fabric to make a pattern. Your fur baby and human baby are adorable and match perfect with your house!

Hi Sandy,
My Dad just finished re-doing 6 of these beautiful chairs for my dining room. We followed the instructions on 4 the Love of Wood.
Her tutorial is fabulous. Good luck.

You are talking to the wrong girl, if you need upholstery advice. I have a rocker that's been sitting in my garage for YEARS that I haven't gotten up the nerve to redo yet. I'll just wait until you do yours so I can get some tips!

Forgot to mention how pretty Chantel looks! Before you know it, she'll be graduating.

Hi Sandy, what a lovely job you did on the stool. That chair is going to be a lot harder, but using the old fabric as a pattern is the best idea i've heard. Good luck with it, everything you do turns out beautiful, I'll be looking forward to seeing it when it is done.
Have a lovely day.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
