Wilted

I don't know who is more wilted...my flowers or me.

The last couple days it hasn't been too hot...but the news is reporting it could be up to 100 degrees again next week. I am so lazy when it is hot. I feel like I need a good dose of Oregon rain to refresh my spirit and bring me back to the world of the living. I need to revived before going into the next heat wave.

Around here we just aren't used to all this sun and heat.
I have become addicted to popsicles.
Wyatt has the right idea with ice packs.

My roses are doing well though. Every evening I soak them them and they seem to be doing just fine with all this heat. My new rose (Falling in love) is so pretty Janae thought it was fake.

The other day it was so humid that I thought I was going to pass out. I get heat rash too. Not fun. I am planning to spend the weekend making a birthday present for my Mom. Finally figured out what to make for her. I hope it turns out! I hope I can stay cool enough to do a good job making it! My brother in law and nephew are coming over for dinner Saturday night. Other than that I plan to catch up on some of your blogs. Being in this "heat coma" I haven't even kept up with my reading list! That's not like me.

I know most of you are suffering thru hotter temps than I am so I have to remind myself of that while having my little pity party. I don't want summer to end...I love my flowers and so many other things about summer. I love sleeping in. Fall will be here soon enough. But oh if Mother Nature could just send a few clouds and a wonderful drenching of rain I would be ever so grateful. I would be renewed.

Stay cool and thanks for visiting!

I feel your pain. The heat has been stifling here in Florida as well.... Our air conditioners are working overtime. I hope your rain comes soon.

Blessings,

Clever post showing the wilting flowers to explain how you feel "wilted" by the heat. Wyatt looks so cute with the ice pack on his head.

That 'Falling in love' rose is beautiful. I know you enjoy it a lot. But, not the heat. I, too, wilt in the heat. thinking about going north. Maybe Santa needs a new elf.

Your roses are so pretty I am jealous. No pet pictures on this post though? You should have posted the pic of the house Pheobe and Fez made out of the boxes. Looking forward to dinner tonight!

i totally understand, sandy. your rose is thriving wonderfully in the heat! and your son has the right idea, huh:)

(we finally got rain and it cooled off) i hate to see summer end, but, what we have had this year, wasn't summer!

hope you get some cool, rainy relief soon!

That kind of heat is just awful!!! I am sorry for you, and hoping that you get rain soon!!

Your son has the right idea!!!! The heat makes you not want to get up and move around too much! I hate to cook when it is this hot, we eat lots of salads and sandwiches in the summer!

The rose is lovely!! How are the kittens handling the heat? They are probably sleeping more right now!

Wyatt is so cute...has the right idea there. I have been imagining what your's and Janae's houses must be like. I imagine they are always clean and fresh smelling like potpourri. We are finally expecting a break from the heat with a 93 tomorrow.

We are used to the extreme heat here in Utah, but I totally get that you are not. We went to the Oregon Coast in August two summers ago. It was right around this time and we literally froze our butts off! It was so beautiful, but we couldn't wait to get back to the heat! I am actually looking forward to fall. It's my favorite time of the year!

I'm ready for Fall in Georgia! It's been so hot here too and we barely had a winter last year. My plants and flowers bloomed a month earlier this year! It's been crazy weather for sure! Your roses looks wonderful; I guess they like the heat! Mine are long gone. Thanks for sharing yours!

You have to take it easy during heat waves or you will pass out! I had to do furniture and wax it and lucky to have the AC or I could never do this project....xo

My sister was talking about the heat out there too. I don't think that many people have AC out there do they? There were a couple days this summer that I felt like I was going to throw up. The heat affects my stomach I guess. Hope it cools down for you!
