A stroll thru the garden

It has been such a beautiful day! The news said tonight we made it to 82 degrees--in my opinion just hot enough to enjoy the summer weather but still cool enough to enjoy the evening.  I got weeds pulled and enjoyed the summer weather. As I walked around the garden I decided to take some pictures to share.

David Austin Eden Rose
My Eden rose is putting on a show! It is blooming like crazy which makes me happy. I wasn't even sure it would bloom this year since it just came to me a few months ago as a bare root rose. I adore this rose though I think it ties as my favorite rose with my Wildeve. I really love my Wildrose rose I got last year.

David Austin Wildeve Rose

I cannot get enough of my petunias. I love them.

The Star Jasmine is blooming--though the fragrance is not as strong as last year yet. It is so nice having it right next to the back door.

All the flowers are just at their prime it seems

Some of my favorite flowers I think are actually weeds.

I love the goosenecks I transplanted from my Mothers garden..though my Dad says they are a weed.

I love to grow flowers..but my husband prefers vegetables. Even though he works a lot of long hours he keeps up this small garden on the side of the house.

I can't wait for some ripe pears!

Wyatt gets a little excerise while I am out working in the gardens.

The grass is not green like I want it to be. I have been watering..I think I need to fertilize more.

Gage got a haircut today from my husband...Jerry sometimes gets carried away with haircuts. Now I need sunscreen for Gage's head!

A fully bloomed Wildeve rose looks gorgeous in the house.

It is suppose to be beautiful all week. I hope everyone is able to enjoy and it is not too hot where you are. Fez has the right idea about what to do on a hot summer afternoon...

Thanks for visiting!

Your gardens are exquisite Sandy! And your photos really bring out the beauty in each bloom.
The rose in a bottle by the wavy glass window is my favorite - it looks like a painting!
Happy Green thumbing to you!

Your flowers are absolutely glorious! I love your Eden rose along with your pink hydrangea. So pretty! Unfortunately my hanging baskets are abit torn up. It has been so hot and windy here in Utah that they are getting fried! :( Enjoy your flowers!

BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS!!!! I especially love the David Austin Roses!!

I have killed so many plants that during the spring my husband asks" is it time for the annual roundup and slaughter of the plants?" Of course he says it from the other room so I can't get to him!!

Dana

I loved sharing a tour of the garden with you. I too am struggling with keeping my grass green enough. The sight of those flowers really does your heart good, doesn't it? It did mine.
