So this seems like a really appropriate post for a Sunday:)
A few weeks ago when I was at Goodwill I was looking for a old dictionary or something to use in craft projects--what I found was this...
I have always felt that items can carry energy..and I felt like this bible had great energy.
I made the little decoration for it with tulle, angel wings, ribbons, and a flower and rhinestone. I made it so the decoration could easily be slipped off and you can look at the beautiful inside. The outside is very worn and brittle but the inside, though you can tell it had been well read, is in lovely condition.
There is not much information inside the bible--very little writing and nothing I can find that tells its age. Inside I did find this lovely little poem..I find it to be so sweet.
What a sweet little edition to my bookcase! I so wonder what the story is that this bible could tell (besides the obvious one!)
I thought I would close this post with a picture taken of Janae yesterday when she came to visit. The animals all adore her, as she does them.
Thanks for visiting!

Such a beautiful blible. I love all old books, but it's pretty hard to beat an old worn Bible....the stories it could tell:-)
So glad to have found your blog,
xoxo

That is a beautiful Bible, perfectly aged and worn. The decoration you made is lovely. Love the picture of Janae and the fur babies.
Wow! That's a lot of animals! They all look very happy and Janae is lovely. I love this post. Old Bibles are a favorite of mine. Have several family Bibles.
The poem is so special. It would be wonderful to know the stories of the earlier Bible owners -- it seems they were a very loving family.

Oh my goodness! I love this idea! I hope you don't mind but where did you get the angel wings? This is the sweetest reflection of old, faith and shabby, right up my alley. I am going to have to try something similar! Hugs,
