Turkey Tablescape

I have one Thanksgiving decoration. It is a white ceramic turkey I found at Goodwill several years ago. Inspired by another person in blogland that also doesn't do fall colors, I decided to give it a try and created this November table setting.

I usually don't do faux plants but last night my son and I walked to Walmart and found this grapevine in the clearance for 25 cents and decided it would look nice around my turkey. What is it about Ball canning jars? I know I am not the only one, they just make me happy and I have no idea why. I have never canned in my life! The blue glasses that have the texture that remind me of ice I have been collecting at Goodwill for years. Does anyone know what they are called? Whatever they are, an icy drink served in them just seems to taste better!
This is the dinner that was served at this table setting..homemade turkey noodle soup and cornbread. I must admit I use the term "homemade" loosely...the noodles are actually Reames frozen home style noodles (they are delicious) and a turkey my husband smoked on our Traeger the other day. If I have to add a couple ingredients together I consider it homemade :).
The candlestick shown here were my Grandmothers, she got it as a wedding gift. There were 2 but Wyatt broke the other one when he was like 4 years old. I am glad I still have one!

The plates I got a couple years ago at HomeGoods. The bowls I got last year at HomeGoods.
I was hoping to be able to get more dishes in that lovely blue color but HomeGoods never got them in again. Now I am just hoping to find more at Goodwill someday.
Thanks for stopping by my very non-traditional (as far as color goes anyway) November table setting!

I love those colors! Those colors can go right through Christmas and New Year's beautifully, too. I like how you dare to do something different!

I like it when people go against the grain! Thanksgiving and autumn doesn't have to all be about orange and brown as you have proven here. I have a dozen of those same seafoam plates, but I never saw those great deep bowls at our local Home Goods/Marshalls/TJ Maxx stores. Rats! :-( I would have loved to have them!!! I guess different regions get different items. Weird how they do that. I'm glad you have them to enjoy! Have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks for visiting my blog! I love your white turkey! I'm the same way about the blue canning jars. I've never canned in my life, but I love them. I do remember my Mom and Aunts canning, though! Have a great weekend!

I love your turkey and I am not a big fan of orange, so I love the alternate colors like your table.

This is so up my alley. I adore the icy blue of your dinnerware, bell jars, and glasses. The texture and warm brown of the grapevine is the perfect point - counterpoint touch for your design. I think that I've seen your candlestick someplace. It might be Cambridge. I'll keep my eyes open when I'm out at estate sales and in antique stores. Thank you for inviting us for a peak at your beautiful design. Cherry Kay

Your tablescape of white and blue is so pretty ... I really enjoyed reading how you collected each piece and thought you did a great job photographing your table ... I know that isn't always easy to do. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I'm glad you did because now I have discovered YOUR lovely blog. I just signed up to receive updates via email...
First of all, I love the turkey and what a find in white!
My Mom has some similar glasses but they are pink...love both colors!
I have one of those plates in white and I bought in last year at Marshalls. Keep checking Marshalls and Homegoods, they seem to get those dishes in every so often.
Have a fabulous day!
