Paying it forward

A few months ago a sweet blogger sent me a milk glass knob that she didn't need after reading that I like milk glass knobs. She said no need to pay her for it..just pay it forward.

I feel like there has been so many good things in my life that I want to pay it forward for. I don't have the financial means to do a lot for other people, but I try to do what I can, when I can.

My Mom told me about a lady that works at our local Bi-Mart and is a follower of my blog. She doesn't leave comments, but she always talks to my Mom about things she enjoys from my blog. My Mom had told me she really thought the melted roses I made were beautiful. I thought a nice thing I could do for her is make her a couple melted roses.

I made them with white and pink satin that was given to me by one of my Mother's friends. I got the buttons on sale half price at JoAnn's. I love these blingy buttons!

I made a little lace bag to hold these melted roses and my Mom is going to deliver them to Bi-mart. I hope this sweet follower really enjoys them.

I also wanted to share a couple thrift store finds. A few weeks ago I found this cherub frame for $2. I have always loved cherubs. It was an off white color and gold..so I painted it white and rub and buffed it. I think it is so sweet!

Then I was really delighted to find this old mirror at Goodwill for 2.99!

Thanks for visiting!

  5. Paying it forward is such a neat thing. Everyone should consider it - you reap more satisfaction than the person receiving it. They usually in turn to something for someone else.
I know she will love the roses and she will appreciate that they were made especially for her. You do such a neat job on anything you tackle.

  6. Hi Sandy! A wonderful gesture to offer this follower those beautiful roses. They're just perfect. I did not know you made those. Real eye candy! The frame and mirror were such lucky finds. I noticed your pink door in the mirror. I must say I love that door. Your home is so pretty and happy looking! From reading your blog, I know that it's also a happy home because you're such a wonderful mom. I hear so much about JoAnn's. I wish we had one in Ottawa. I had to laugh when I saw you had framed one of your little cats in the cherub frame!

  16. I was drawn to this post because of the title. The film of that name is a favorite of mine. How kind of you to do this for that lady. Can you imagine what the world would be like if it were filled with millions of people who did what you did? I am grateful for people like you. I believe in my heart, also, that it will come back to you tenfold.

have a great day. And thanks for the kind comment.
