I love the Simply Shabby Chic line at Target. I don't think Rachel has ever created anything from that line that I didn't want. The bonus is it is Target--I can afford to buy myself something occasionally.
The other night was one of those times...being sick I have felt quite housebound lately and so Janae and I decided to make a run to Target. I had seen on Facebook that new Simply Shabby Chic stuff was showing up at all the stores. I wanted to see it in real life.
I fell in love with this blue pillow that had to come home with me.
I usually make my own pillows--but this one just has so much detail it would take forever to make.
Each little "ball" having to be hand tied...and the gathering. Makes me tired just thinking about making it.
The color is just perfect for my bedroom.
Besides I think this pillow is one of those that I think will sell out quickly and become a collectible--that happens quite often with the Simply Shabby Chic stuff. I am just tickled to have it.
They have the anniversary accessories out too...and I would love to have it all! Too bad the budget gets in the way of all my fun :)

Fez approves.
I wanted to take a minute to post a prayer request. My soon to be sister in law just found out she has Ewing Sarcoma--it is a fast growing cancer. It is a shock to us all. She is only 33 years old and has 3 children. They are starting chemo tomorrow--I think it is planned for 9 months. They want to make sure they get every last cell. It is going to be a long hard road but I have faith it will all be okay. Please pray for her--her name is Kirsten. I am glad my brother in law proposed to her shortly before the cancer was found. She has us all to be her support system now and she isn't facing this as a single Mom.
Isn't she gorgeous?!
The weather is so nice right now--the spring flowers are showing their faces and I am getting ready to cut my first spring bouquet for the house. It is 60 degrees today and suppose to be 65 degrees tomorrow--time to break out the flip flops!
Have a beautiful day!
Thanks for visiting!
Hi Sandy,
ReplyDeleteI was at Target too and saw the new line. It is all so pretty. I still have the british blue rose pattern from the past and love it. Love that she brought out some blues again. I am saying a prayer for your SIL. Too young for this. I believe in the power of prayer and am hoping for good healing days ahead.
Kris
Love the pillow - looks great on your bed,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your SIL - she will be in my prayers for a speedy recovery. It seems like everyone I am praying for has cancer - it's terrible and I sure wish they would find a cure for it.
Your bedroom is very lovely and looks like a little friend likes the pillow also.

Prayers going up for Kristen and the extended Family, she is indeed a Beauty! My Son is in a long term relationship with a Cancer Survivor, Kristen has Youth on her side and obviously a great support system in place with you all in her corner.
ReplyDeleteAs for your pillow it is Divine! I just bought Rachel's new Book Couture Prairie and every Page transports you to an Enchanting World she has Created on the Texas Prairie. One day I would like to Reserve a room at The Prairie Bed and Breakfast for a Vacation, it's now quite high up on the Bucket List after seeing the Magical Images of each Space Guests can Rent... *winks* Rachel has been Inspirational in bringing the Love of Old to the masses and she continues to Evolve her Lines to bring a slice of her Vision to each Home it will Grace.
Blessings from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian
Oh, no. I'll pray for your soon to be SIL. That is horrible that she has to go through that! And I'll be running to Target tonight to check out that line. They were doing a huge reconfiguration in the linens area when I was there last week, so hopefully it was to highlight this new stuff!
