Living in Oregon I always like to get a real tree. There is a tree farm on every corner here it seems. I am pretty pleased with the very full tree that Wyatt and I cut this year for $27.
Again this year I did all white decorations..this year the tree is so full I didn't add my feather boas.
It was quite a job to decorate this huge tree.
I once again added photos in white frames to our tree...and I added a few more. It is fun to look at the tree and it is all about our family.
If you look close in the below picture you can see the tree is tied to the ceiling. A certain cat named Fez thought it would be a good idea to climb the tree. I yelled at him like a crazy woman and he has been too terrified to do it again. Just in case Jerry tied the tree to the ceiling.
The tree looks so pretty I have been enjoying it...especially in the evenings.
When working on sewing Christmas gifts it makes me happy to look through the pretty Christmas decorated house.
I made my goal and I am still on schedule...so now sewing Christmas gifts has begun. I have so much to make! Wish me luck in getting it done.
It is so cold outside--in the 20's during the day and the teens at night. I am so happy to be sewing gifts at home rather than braving the cold to go to the mall!
I hope this finds everyone with their holiday preparations going well!
Thanks for visiting!
Your tree is just fabulous, Sandi. So, so beautiful. I love a memory tree and that`s how ours is decorated, too. They are the best.
ReplyDeleteYour home is so festive. Good luck with your Christmas gifts. Deb
Oh my...it all is truly like Christmas home! I absolutely love the photos on your tree. I know it has been some work painting them alll, finding the right photos and printing them all out. But so worth it! I am all for sweet memories!
ReplyDeleteYour tree is gorgeous I love all the pearls and all the photos. I really want to copy your photo thing. I love the touches of pink you have added this year as well.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful tree. The photos really make it special. Your mantle looks really pretty too. Good luck getting your sewing done. I have one thing to make and I'm still decorating!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tree! Love the frames and photos! That is what it's truly all about! Good luck with your sewing! I'm doing the same and wondering why I didn't start some of the projects earlier in the year?!!!

Hi Sandy,
ReplyDeleteYour big tree is beautiful! How fun to look back at all your Christmases past and see your sweet family! I love the pic looking from the table towards the aqua walls, the aqua makes it all pop!

Thank you for inviting Annie & I over to see your decorations in person. They are a pure delight...all of it!! I especially love how you put family pictures on the tree.
ReplyDeleteYour tree looks beautiful, Sandy! I love seeing the peeks into your other rooms, too. It all must be a lovely view when in your home. I did a lot of sewing of gifts this year, too. If you can find a pocket of time, you will get quite a bit done. I found it helped if I had a few undisturbed hours rather than having to start and stop.
ReplyDeleteYour house looks spectacular this year, Sandy! I mean, it looks great every year, but for some reason, especially this year. I love the little pops of light pink and aqua everywhere. Looks VERY professional- you should have it featured in a magazine. Don't you wish we could keep up our christmas decor year round? I LOVE being in my house during December...hate to leave it for any reason!lol Probably that's why I do all my shopping online!:)
