Spring is such a beautiful time of year. Such a time of new beginnings. We have been having beautiful weather here in Oregon. On Easter day it was 77 degrees! That was a record breaker for us. Made me want to plant flowers and work in the yard! But my pinched nerve in my hip got in the way of that. I was feeling good enough to go to the Fred Meyers garden section and buy myself a couple flowers to lift my spirits.
I painted a little clay pot with handmade chalk paint. So much more my color. I'll let you know how it lasts because this is Oregon and we are expecting a lot of Spring rain this week.
For those of you following along...my hip gets better everyday. I did have a little set back last night with hours of spasms...but I am at fault because I just did too much making Easter dinner, and Easter activities and all. Today I rested it all day and am back on track for healing.
The kids are getting older now--but still enjoy the Easter egg decorating. I see us doing this activity on Easter forever.
They made these cute eggs with faces and hair...how fun!
Janae had a couple Easter photo ops at our house with her Poms. If you love dogs she did the cutest post here. We had a Easter egg hunt for the dogs (hers and ours). It was so fun.
This is what the beautiful sunshine causes at our house....
A good way to get rid of a few brother/sister tensions!
Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes about my pinched nerve. It makes me feel better just to read those encouraging words. I am getting better everyday...and am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!
Enjoy spring! Thanks for visiting!
It has been a Wonderful few days here in Oregon. I have so enjoyed it. But alas it won't last forever :-(. So while you are indoors staying dry, take good care of yourself. Try not to over due it. So when it is dry again, you will be ready to head outdoors.
ReplyDeleteLovely to hear you are on the mend Sandy. I feel funny saying lovely to hear,as I was told today I have to have hearing aids. :( can't believe it. I've been telling my family for ages they mumble and don't open their mouths when they talk (an Aussie trait) It makes me feel old and I prided myself on being so fit and healthy. I suppose it comes to us all eventually. I do
ReplyDeletesee lots my age with some awful illnesses though,so I am lucky really. It was just such a shock.
Anyway enough of that. Your little plant and pot looks so nice. Glad you are enjoying Spring. We had a rainy weekend but are now heading for high 20's Celcius.
Have a nice week xx
I love spring too Sandy!! So glad that the weather was lovely for you! It was warmer here, and that was so wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad that your hip is doing better!! Take care of yourself though, and yes I know that it would have been impossible to do nothing on Easter, but I am glad that you are feeling better.
Loved the pot of flowers. You make everything extra pretty, even a small pot of floweres!!!
This is such a happy, fun post. Those decorated eggs are so funny.:-) The pot of flowers is beautiful...as is your back yard with the flowering tree. Please continue to take care of yourself and heal well so we can walk together again.
ReplyDeleteSandy,
