Fall is here...like it or not

I don't love Fall. I like every season other than Fall actually. I don't like the colors, and  I don't like trying to get back into the school routine. But though I try to pretend it isn't here..it is, like it or not.

So I decided to take  my pretty white lace covered coffee table off the front porch and replace it with a neighbors tree stump.

I am kind of thinking it looks cute. It will weather all the Oregon rainfall so much better than the cute little summer table.

I got this little Chihuahua planter at Goodwill. I couldn't resist it--how cute is that?

I got a lot of house work done yesterday which makes me proud of myself since I wasn't feeling well. Wyatt was really sick but his fever has broke (after overdosing him with vitamin C) and he wants to go to school tomorrow. Gage has a fever now too. I am feeling better today. I plan to reward myself for housecleaning well done by reading the newest issue of Romantic Country tonight.

Fez and Phoebe were spayed and neutered this week and they don't seem to even notice anything happened. Phoebe was in a mad mood the  first day but now they are back to their crazy cat selves.

I am loving that my roses are still looking beautiful!

 Thanks for visiting!

  1. I love your white wicker. I am a Fall lover and love all the colours, especially the apricot. I'm with you on the 'white' though. Love it. Deb

  2. I love fall but not all the orange that goes with fall. The tree stumps are great they make wonderful tables. Laura

  3. I love your little doggy planter, tree stump and pumpkins display. We used to have a ginger pussy cat. Her name was Ginger Megs. She looked exactly like yours. I've been cooking to fill the freezer all morning with my hubby on my tail following behind doing dishes. We have just sat down for lunch. My reward is getting on here to see what you have been up to :) Have a nice day Sandy.xx

  4. Fall is actually my favorite time of the year. I don't decorate indoors for fall, but I do up my porch pretty nicely and that's where my orange decorating stops. (*_*) Fall always seems like a new beginning for me because I love school and then I used to work in schools and for the school district so back to school time has fond memories for me. Love your "stump" table!!

  5. Oh my God, you're the first person other than me who is not crazy about fall! Don't like the colours either and the fact that it's getting cold and that it's the end of summer.

Good for you for getting your kitties spayed. I approve!

I hope your boys feel better soon.

  6. I know, i usually get sad when the days get shorter, and fall arrives, but fall can be so beautiful, and this summer was like a million degrees, so i'm trying not to get bummed about it this time. I'm not sure if that chihuahua planter is cute or scary, but everything you do is charming, so i'm gonna take your word for it, that it's cute..., and i love your tree stump table.

  8. I'm with you..fall is not my favorite either. Oh yes, the colors are nice but everything becomes so messy! You must get snow. I think? We have to take all the outdoor things inside. Gazing ball, statues, lawn furniture..everything must be put away. And the leaves falling off the tree's make for a messy yard.Plants have to be cut down right after the first frost! Brr..counting the days till spring/summer..love your tree stump table.that is very cute..and your goodwitll find is adorable. Once again, a great post!

  13. I love fall. It's not too hot or too cold, but I can relate to the getting back into the school routine not being fun. The stump looks cool on your porch, I'm always eyeballing tree stumps and envisioning them as something...oh right I do that about everything lol. I hope your boys are feeling better.

  14. So sorry you're not feeling well. I know Fall colors aren't your taste. Fall is my favorite time of year. Mainly because of the temps.

  15. Oh I am so happy to find someone else that does not like fall. My thoughts are left over from growing up in Minnesota and how horrible winter weather followed fall, it always made me a little melancholy! Glad the kitties did ok!

  17. I love Fall but I only love the colors OUTSIDE. Inside I still only use whites.

Tell your girl I'm STILL LISTENING TO MY DEPRESSING MUSIC!

  18. The stump makes a perfect and unusual porch table! It's so cute with the fancy white wicker love seat. But I have to say that I'm completely drooling over your ruffly white table cloth. What a gorgeous dining room!!

  19. LOVE your home! It is gorgeous!

I LOVE fall, but I have a hard time bringing in any fall colors except a bit of bittersweet. I always use white pumpkins inside and the colored ones outside. :)
    Blessings~

  20. I understand how you feel about fall--we have such a short summer here in the Pacific Northwest that it's very hard to see it go! But I do love what you did with your outdoor area--the stump and green pumpkin are lovely together. I am so loving your white ruffly tablecloth--so pretty! Glad that your kitties came through their procedures fine--cats do love paper bags, don't they?
