I have really been wanting some fresh flowers for the house and I was blessed to get roses this year from both my husband and my oldest daughter for Valentines day. Such a sweet token of love.
A pink rose is my absolute favorite flower for Valentines day. Red is pretty, and I know it is passionate and all that --but I love the sweet softness of pink. I also like the pretty vibrance of pinks like these..
My husband said they were all out of the baby pink I like and so he got me a dozen roses in this hot pink color. They are really pretty. He used to buy me roses once a week while we were dating. After being married for 15 years and not having the money for roses like we used too..these roses actually mean so much more than the ones he used to get me. The hot pink looks really pretty against the blue of the Ball canning jar.
Janae was able to find me these soft pink roses, though she said she really had to search for them. I guess I am not the only one that loves a pretty pink rose!
Chantel made her Dad and I a very large Valentines Card complete with pop out heart. Chantel does nothing small!
I read a post today from another blog about the power of love. That is really what Valentines day is all about to me. Our vet told me once that our animals live exceptionally long because they know how much they are loved. Our son Gage has disabilities that should cause him to be medically fragile, but his Doctor wrote in his chart at his last appointment that "he has no failure to thrive".
Never underestimate the power of love!
Lovely Roses!

I thought maybe I was the only one that preferred pink roses. The red ones sort of turn black when they are dying and the pink ones just keep on going.
