I have come to realize that I am really quite obsessed with angel wings.
These are the latest I have acquired. I had seen them on Sissie's and some other blogs and thought they were so pretty..and they are only 8.95! I wanted them but thought, "oh well..by the time you pay shipping"..but then I noticed they have free shipping! I couldn't resist. Everyone needs a little treat once in awhile. They came really well boxed in a large box..I was pretty impressed. You can get them here. These are the adult size ones but I am thinking there are cute things you could do with the child size ones too. I have seen these on the backs of chairs and they look so good! Someday I would like to treat myself to these. They are more expensive, but bigger and still a reasonable price. I did add some feathers (since I had them) to make these wings I just got a little fuller. I just stuck them in and they stayed:)
My obsession with angel wings is not a new thing...when I used to breed and show silver persians
my business name was "Angel Image" and my logo was a silver persian in angel wings.
Here is Janae at 8 years old...
Then there's Chantel at 3...
My husband wouldn't let me get pictures done with the boys in angel wings...though don't think I didn't want too!
So I wonder what it is that makes certain things so appealing to some people? It is like white ruffles and burlap--I just can't get enough right now. I think my love of angel wings will be with me for a long time.
Thanks for stopping by!
I have 2 pairs of small angel wings that I got at Pier One, they Xmas decorations but I decided to leave them out.
ReplyDeleteThe large ones you have look great! I'd love to hang some over my big mirror! Thank you for the links:)
I know so well what you mean by loving certain things. The angel wings speak to me too and I just love vintage lace and linens.
ReplyDeleteI really love the photos of your girls. How sweet.
thanks for the mention too.
hugs

Sandy, I love your wings. I first saw them at Bella's Rose Cottage blog where Bella displays them in so many different ways. Worth a look.

Thanks for stopping by....the name of my blog has been the name of my Shoppe for 20 some odd years....it is just part of me. I don't know why we love what we love, but I know it feeds my soul. We don't ever have to explain it to anyone :)

Me too! What makes us so compelled by some things... I've wondered that myself, especially when i see other women blogger friends who like the exact same things... sometimes it's freaky. I love your angel wings... Maybe you have some Angel in you that you just don't completely remember right now. Funny about the boys... i bet you did think about it!

ReplyDeleteWho would not like angel wings!? I remember I was a kindergarten when I exchanged my role as Mary to an angel on our Christmas presentation just because I want to wear angel wings lol!

I love the angel wings, too! Yours look gorgeous. I posted about some wooden and metal wings I purchased recently (two posts ago) and I love them! I will have to look up your feathery wings to add to my collection.
