I know some people don't believe in decorating so early..but I am not a fan of thanksgiving colors and so I prefer to make Christmas last as long as possible. I don't like getting all those Rubbermaid containers out of the attic for only a month of enjoyment!
At first I was really frustrated because I thought I had too many little things all cluttered on the mantle but as I layered and rearranged I ended up being very happy with my Christmas mantle! When the sun comes in it sparkles so much it reminds me of a jewelry store window.
I love decorating in white for Christmas because it kind of looks like everything has been snowed on!
This weekend when I was decorating the stockings weren't the only thing hanging...
When Janae hung Little Lacie on the doorknob I couldn't help but take a picture..she is so cute! (Don't worry we didn't leave here there for long:))
I am really excited for everyone to start posting their Christmas decorating. I am sure I am going to get so many new ideas. I love blogging!
I love this, and wish my hubby would let me decorate early too! I also wanted to let you know that I have awarded you the Liebster Award. Please stop by my blog to check it out and be sure to post the button on your sidebar letting everyone know how awesome you are!

I am putting up a tree this weekend....sort of a combo Fall/Christmas tree. I have had this white tree for over 20 years and it has now faded to a beautiful creamy patina. Before you said you thought your mantle reminded you of a store window, I was thinking the exact same thing....it's pure heavenly confection....so pretty! xoxo P.S. your fur baby is adorable...i laughed so hard!
ReplyDeleteLovely Christmas mantle! Lacey is just precious! I hope you rescued her from the doorknob soon after that pic was taken... LOL.
ReplyDeleteLove how you've hung Lacey with care!

Hi Sandy...
ReplyDeleteOhhh my goodness...your Christmas mantel is stunning!!! It's sooo very soft, romantic, and sparkly! It really does sparkle and shine just like jewelry in a store window! What a creative and talented lady you are, dear lady! Ohhh...and again...I love your color theme choices!!! I totally agree about decorating for Christmas. I hate decorating so early but it involves so much time and work..to enjoy for such a short period of time! I say...go for it! Hehe!
I am also really enjoying your beautiful home!!! Hoping to see more, my friend!
Warmest wishes,
Chari
PS...ooops, I did want to mention just how adorable your daughter's little furbaby is! Soooo cute! Your photo would make such a cute card! Have you and your daughter considered doing a photo series for cards or prints? Just an idea! I've never seen anything like it...and her furbabies are sooo adorable!
